Viniyoga with John O'Dwyer

'I do yoga so that I can stay flexible enough to kick my own arse if necessary.'  ~Betsy Cañas Garmon

John O'Dwyer came to yoga seeking to resolve health challenges and injuries from his physically demanding job farming, and also playing rugby and mountain-biking.  Although skeptical, he went along to his first class with an open mind and the knowledge that yoga had a great reputation for improving strength and flexibility.

Viniyoga is a mindful practice where all movement is linked to the breath, emphasis is placed on having awareness of how the body is reacting to being in the yoga postures.

The benefits that John has received from his yoga practice are many fold and he has found the simplicity and effectiveness of Viniyoga to be beneficial to all.

John trained with Sadhana Mala in viniyoga and is a registered teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga and Associated Yoga Studies.
